So the morning will start out with getting up and jumping in the shower. The wife will have made up a nice little breakfast type meal for me. Placing it into the refrigerator so that when I’m ready I can simply get it out.

Each night before we go to bed the wife has my breakfast made, all I do in the morning is turn on the ge oven. Place it in, and within just a few minutes I have a meal that is healthy, and gives me all the energy that I need for the day.

Next it’s time to get ready to exercise, and that means getting ready by placing on the right clothes. Not only that but my men’s sport watch that will help me watch the time. Cotton is my favorite type of material to workout in, because it helps to keep me cooler.

Depending on which day it is will mean I will either be lifting a bit of weights, or doing some cardio workouts. Since our exercise room is in our home, it doesn’t take long to get too. Not only do we have the equipment needed, but we’ve saved money over what it would cost to join a gym in our local area too.

Not only that, but heading to the gym often enough, well it just wouldn’t happen. We love the fact that we have the stuff needed here at home to keep us in shape. My favorite thing to do on those cardio workout days is to job on the good old treadmill. Hooked up on that is one of those ebook readers to help make the workout go quickly.

Jogging those five miles and reading at the same time, well it makes the time go by very quickly. Not always do I read the same thing, but change it from day to day. As long as I have something to choose from besides those romances that are in there that the wife reads!

After that I will than head into the shower and get ready for the day of work. Each day I will get up at three to begin this process. Most people wonder how I have so much energy, it’s healthy eating and exercise.

Not as much sleep is needed when you are in good shape. About six hours is the most we both need each night. But it’s just nice to know that we will get to see the grandkids as they grow up. Because we will be around for a while!

Walking To Lose Weight Will Be Healthy And It Works

Losing weight is a matter of taking in fewer calories than you burn.  Once a healthy diet is planned it’s time to get down to exercise.  This should include seven days a week, 30 minutes a day of aerobic exercise.  It can be running on a treadmill, swimming, or simply walking exercises to lose weight.  Walking is a low impact way to fulfill the exercise goal.  Here are some good walking tips.

Walking for 30 minutes a day seven days a week is a great start.  In fact, it’s much better than the five day, or even three day,  plan that many gurus recommend.  30 minutes of exercise 3-5 times a week just isn’t enough.  The body needs work every day.  That means seven days a week and if walking is the way to make that tolerable every day for the rest of your life, then walk.

Once the walking is established do some other activities to increase your physical output.  This can include simple things like raking leaves instead of blowing them, amazing things like playing tag with your children, as well as other every day habits such as parking in the furthest space from the store rather than the closest.

After getting accustomed to walking that 30 minutes every day, make some adjustments by adding intervals.  Intervals are short bursts of increased activity sprinkled into a normal routine.  Start out by running for 30 seconds every 10 minutes of the walk.  Gradually up this to a one minute run every five minutes, which would work like this.  You walk for the first four minutes, then run for the fifth, then walk the next four minutes, run the next minute, and so on for the duration of 30 minutes.  Keep in mind that a run is not a jog, it’s faster, it’s a sprint.  So if you have to work up to run with jog at first.

Walking to lose weight is healthy, no doubt.  But it’s also a terrific way to get around the neighborhood, meet neighbors, and see things you probably never see while driving around everywhere you go.  If it gets boring you can ask a spouse or family member to exercise with you.  Make it a family affair, or get the whole neighborhood involved.
